Neoclassical clocks are clocks which have the characteristics of classical antiquity mainly ancient Greek and Roman styles.

    English Neoclassical Adam Style satinwood tall case clock, pine secondary. Swan’s neck pediment with brass urn form finials, arched hood door flanked by free-standing round columns; engraved brass clock face with hour and minute hands, seconds dial, date dial, lunar dial, and scrolling foliate and mask relief spandrels, plate on face engraved “Vincent Menil Amsterdam”.

    A French Neoclassical figural mantel clock. Cast bronze with rich gold dore finish. Produced circa 1880. Large urn form case surmounted by a cherub putto Cupid Eros figure, above circular enamel dial signed LEMERLE CHARPENTIER & CIE BRONZIERS PARIS 8 RUE CHARLOT. Flanked and supported to each side by Neoclassical Graces or Muses figures, and decorated with hanging floral wreath forms, acorns, and relief floral and cameo profile portrait forms. Movement stamped LEMERLE CHARPENTIER PARIS. Accompanied by winding key.

    An antique French Empire period mantel clock dated circa 1780 – 1800. This Neoclassical style clock is made by Michel-François Piolaine, French, active from 1787. The case is made of red marble and gilded bronze details. The sides of the clock body are decorated with caryatids holding stylized cornucopias on their heads. The white enameled dial is signed: Piolaine a Paris. Working condition.
